What do Complete Clinics offer in terms of Cheek Augmentation and Mid Face?

The ‘mid face encompasses of the region starting from the infra-orbital rim ( under the eye) to the lip. As we age we lose volume in this area and also fat pads which exist in this area sag causing a tired, droopy and saggy facial appearance. We safely inject Hylaronic Acid filler in the depleted areas thus restoring the face to its youthful state. Furthermore adding filler to the cheekbone can give you a model-esque contoured look thus enhancing ones beauty. The injection of volume here also smooths out fine lines and wrinkles.

Which filler is best for this Area?

At Complete Clinics we use premium Hylaronic Acid dermal fillers such as Juvederm and Stylage.

How Long will the Results Last?

Cheek fillers are a relatively safe procedure with minimal downtime. Common side effects you may experience include some swelling, redness, mild bleeding or bruising. There is also a risk of allergic reaction and infection with all fillers. More rare but serious side effects include: filler leakage, tissue death due to circulation blockage, injury to your veins or arteries or even vision loss. These risks are severely minimised by our highly trained doctors and nurses only using cannulas ( blunt needles) in the areas of the face or body which are more at risk of injury. They are also highly trained to recognise complications and are able to treat them if they should occur.

There’s also the risk of injection material migrating to other parts of your face, causing a lumpy or asymmetrical appearance. If this does happen, your doctor may inject another material known as Hylaronidase to dissolve the filler, or simply wait for the filler material to metabolize on its own.

The risk of rare side effects is higher if you use an unlicensed or inexperienced provider.

What are the Risks?

This depends on several factors, but most importantly, the type of filler your practitioner uses and how much of it they inject. Most cheek fillers last six to 12 months, while others can last years.

Does It Hurt?

Dermal filler treatments are generally not painful, although the amount of discomfort you experience may vary depending on the area. Treatments around the lip and nose area are typically the most uncomfortable but this can still be tolerated well though topically applied anaesthetic cream. Furthermore many modern fillers contain local anesthetic making the procedure more comfortable.
